Mountain Bike Coaching – Progression Sessions

Maybe you have you been been riding for a while but feel your skills have reached a plateau? Our progression mountain bike coaching session aims to get you riding smoother and ultra efficiently. If you find you constantly going from pedaling hard to braking harder then our mountain bike coaching session can give you the tool kit to carry your flow, glide down every trail and use trail features to increase the enjoyment of your ride.

Get the essential tool kit and expert help to meet your own riding goals, by dedicating time to improving your technique through coaching. Receive video feedback and a plan of action to address your next riding goal.

All of our coaching is now on a one to one basis so that we can provide the best opportunity for you to improve your skills, this session will run for two hours.

*If you would like to book a session for you and a group of riding buddies please get in touch about our group rates.

Become a smooth, confident rider, able to ride trail features regularly found on red to black graded mountain bike trails. At the end of the session, you’ll have a solid structure to your riding for long term development and improvement. Things we are likely to cover will include:

  • Pumping for speed – how and where to pump so you can gain ‘free speed’ whilst maintaining a balanced and strong body position
  • Line choice – choosing smooth and fast lines on the trail and learning the optimum speed to make trail features flow
  • Control on steep descents – staying in balance and maximising traction at very slow speeds
  • Manuals and wheel lifts – where, when and how to use them to your advantage on the trail
  • Steps and safe drop-off techniques – total control in the trickiest of situations, at both high and low speed
  • Focus and flow – analysis of a full trail including how and when to use core skills and speed techniques to make the trail flow

We can run coaching from most locations in Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex. Our favourite spot is Queen Elizabeth Country Park near Petersfield.
